Today we’re publishing Teydea Login Customizer 3.4.0 (free) and 1.4.0 (PRO) for site owners who brand their WordPress login page. Login page backgrounds can now use gradients, and the PRO edition keeps your license key, login path, redirects and custom texts when you apply a template.
Shared Updates (Free 3.4.0 & PRO 1.4.0)
- Gradient backgrounds: Background color settings now accept gradients from the Gradient tab of the color picker. Before this release, a saved gradient was emptied.
- Button spacing on WordPress 7.1.1 and later: Templates that put the Log In button on its own line keep their spacing.
- Image checks in the media pickers: The login media pickers now refuse images that browsers cannot display, such as unconverted HEIC files.
- More reliable live preview: The preview no longer stays in an error state after a successful retry, and keeps its loading state when you change settings during a refresh.
- Accessibility: Preview errors are announced more reliably to screen readers, and the icon picker exposes the selected icon.
- WordPress 6.8 or later: The minimum supported WordPress version is now 6.8.
PRO-Only Updates (1.4.0)
- Templates change design settings only: “Use this template” used to also clear the license key, the custom login path, the redirect rules and custom texts. It now leaves all four as they are.
- New update service: Updates now come through the new Teydea Studio Updates API. Your license takes a site slot only when a key is saved, and frees it when the key is removed or the plugin is uninstalled. An update your license cannot install is still listed, with the reason.
- Clearer Dashboard → Updates screen: It now shows license guidance and no longer offers an update that has nothing to download.
- Redirect rules in personal-data exports: Exports now include the user’s redirect rule assignments.
- Fixes: Signing in through the custom login URL now returns users to the right page when WordPress is installed in a subdirectory. The role and user pickers in the redirect settings no longer stop at ten entries on WordPress 6.6 to 7.0, and license settings work on sites with a Unicode domain name.
- Security: The updater checks the update server’s response before offering an update, and layout and background color settings validate their values.
You can download the latest version of the free Teydea Login Customizer plugin directly from WordPress.org. PRO users with a valid license key get the update in their WordPress dashboard, as License Key and Updates describes.
