BuddyPress Integration

Overview

When BuddyPress is active, Teydea Login Security PRO enforces your password policy on BuddyPress’s own registration and account settings forms, and replaces BuddyPress’s built-in password-strength requirement with your policy’s rules.

Automatic Configuration Changes

When the integration is active, BuddyPress’s built-in “strong password” requirement is disabled so it does not conflict with your policy. On the registration and account settings pages, the default WordPress strength meter is also removed, and the password fields are shown directly instead of behind BuddyPress’s “Generate Password” toggle.

What the Integration Covers

Registration Form

When a new user registers through a BuddyPress registration form, the plugin validates the chosen password against the policy that applies to them. If the password does not comply, an error is shown and the account is not created. The password-change timestamp is recorded once the account is activated so age-based rules track correctly.

Account Settings (Password Change)

When a user changes their password on the BuddyPress Settings → General page, the new password is validated against the active policy. If it does not comply, an error is displayed and the change is rejected. On a successful change, the timestamp is recorded for age-based tracking.

Enforcement Elsewhere

BuddyPress uses the standard WordPress login flow, so login enforcement — redirecting users with non-compliant or expired passwords to reset them — works through the base plugin. See Password Expiration Enforcement.

Activation

The BuddyPress integration activates automatically when both Teydea Login Security PRO and BuddyPress are active. No additional configuration is required.
